So Vancouver felt an earthquake off the coast that measured around 7.7 I believe, and triggered tsunami warnings as far away as Hawaii. Now that is scary, but right now something else is happening, on the other side of Canada and Eastern United States that is taking everyone's attention.
Of course, I'm talking about the hurricane. My words can't convey what a nightmare this is turning into, for the people facing it and the ones who can only sit back and watch and pray.
This article says everything better than I can.

The last thing I have to say on the topic is for everyone in the hurricane's path to please please please listen to what your government agencies have to say, take whatever precautions you can. Help each other. It's not a joke, it's deadly serious. When a meteorological agency comes up with terms like "frankenstorm" because they don't know any other way to describe what's happening, you can be assured that people will die if they do take it as a joke.
