Fridge horror and sadness

I think I might of mentioned it before, there seems to be a general lack of responsibility and common sense among people in Hyrule.
Like this situation. It's dangerous to go alone, yes, so let's give this child a wooden sword and send him out into the wilderness. Where he will see many, many black screens saying,"GAME OVER".
But I guess it's the best they can do, this version of Hyrule seems to be compromised mostly of insane people living in caves, and totally rude people...living and selling things in caves. It's a very eerie and lonely place, and that huge cemetery doesn't help things very much. But looking at the timeline for the Legend of Zelda games that Nintendo finally decided to share with everyone, this creepy post-apocalyptic world really is a creepy post-apocalyptic world....everything makes sense now! Somehow that's scary :s
