All one needs in a summer movie

Yesterday I went to go see Transformers: Dark of the Moon. So called because the Autobots found something awesome on the moon and didn't want Decepticons getting there first. I'm not sure what the story was, because that's not important.
What really matters are the awesome robots (transformers okay whatever I know) smashing each other and exploding things and the movie snacks!
Oh, and the human protagonist's hot girlfriend. I'm not sure why she replaced Megan Fox, but anyways. I'm sure there are enough people comparing the two so I won't.
As I was saying, I know this movie has a plot but that's probably not what many people went there to see. It was released over the Canada Day weekend, and surprisingly the theatre wasn't completely wasn't full of people.
So basically I spent most of my afternoon in a nearly empty theatre watching robots beat other up on the glorious IMAX screen.
And the trailers! Movies that I just know are going to be terrible always look so cool in a theatre. The best example this time was a Three Musketeers remake, that's being made in 3D....I actually didn't think it looked cool.
It just kind of irritated me, why is d'Artagnan- of all the characters in this Dumas tale- being played by an American who is doing absolutely nothing to fix his accent? And what's with the airships? This isn't Final Fantasy!
Back to TRANSFORMERS before I shut up about this: It's all a person could want in fun escapist summer cinema. Giant robots (yes I know, Transformers), explosions, said robots beat each other up, a nerdy protagonist with a hot girlfriend, the explosions are loud, the moon!
And movie snacks of course.
